Xiaomi is set to launch two new audio products in India today during its ‘Mi Sound Unveil’ event. The firm has also been teasing some products on social media with the last couple of tweets teasing a Bluetooth speaker and a neckband. However, most of the information has been kept under wraps. But it looks like tipster Ishan Agarwal seems to have revealed the features ahead of the launch.
The company is currently selling truly wireless earbuds under both Mi and Redmi sub-brands. The new earbuds will be part of the Mi line up as the name of the event suggests. Xiaomi had also launched its first smart speaker in the country last year. One of the company executives has confirmed that Xiaomi will be focusing to expand its portfolio of smart products.
As per tipster’s tweet, Xiaomi will be launching the Mi Neckband Pro Bluetooth Earphones. These are said to feature Active Noise Cancellation at up to 25db, along with a 10mm base driver and IPX5 splash-resistant rating. There is no word on the pricing yet though. The Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones Pro was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website back in December last year. It is said to support Bluetooth v5.0 along with SBC and AAC audio codecs.
The second product revealed by the tipster is the Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker 16W, which features Dual-band EQ, which will let you control the high and low ranges easily. It also has 13 hours of battery life and a USB Type-C charging port. You also get an IPX7 water-resistant rating.
It is worth mentioning that Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker (16W) has already been launched on a global level and is listed on the company’s global website as well. There’s a 2600mAh battery, 2x8W audio output, and Bluetooth v5.0 support. Besides coming in Blue and Black colours, the speaker also has a built-in microphone to take calls.
For now, Xiaomi India’s audio range comprises Mi Smart Speaker, Mi True Wireless Earphones 2C, Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones among few others.
