Vivo launched its new smartphone Vivo Z5i in China. Vivo has launched the phone with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The phone adds to the existing Z5 series of smartphones from the company, which includes the Z5 and the Z5x.

Vivo Z5i price in China is RMB 1,798 (around Rs 18,000) for the 8GB + 128GB storage model. This makes the Z5i more expensive than the Vivo U3, which carried a price tag of RMB 1,199 for the variant with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM. The Vivo Z5i will be offered two colour choices: Glazed Black and Jade Blue. Shipping of the Z5i in China began on November 28th.

The Vivo Z5i comes with a 6.53-inch display, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.30 per cent. There is a fingerprint sensor placed on the back panel of the smartphone. A waterdrop notch is available on the top, which houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset which is the same chipset that we see inside the Vivo U20 launched last week in India. Which is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage? A microSD card slot is available for storage expansion.
The Vivo Z5i comes with a triple camera set up at the back. The set-up includes a 16MP main sensor with an f/1.78 lens, 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a 2MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture for macro shots. There is a 16MP camera lens on the front for selfies.
In terms of connectivity, the new Vivo Z5i comes with support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and a micro-USB port. The phone is available in two colour options- Jade Blue and Onyx Black colour options. The phone is backed up a large 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
