One of the popular microblogging sites, Twitter is introducing a new feature to schedule tweets on the web. Twitter has announced that it is now rolling out an ‘experimental’ feature, which will allow users to schedule tweets. The new feature could be handy to prep tweets for a coordinated product launch or news announcement.
Until now, if users wanted to schedule tweets, the only option was via TweetDeck or else they had to use a third-party application like Buffer or Hootsuite for it.
To schedule a tweet, you have to simply compose a tweet to post and then click the three dots in the bottom bar. This will lead you the option to schedule the tweet for a specific date and time, ensuring that it will go up exactly when you want it to. Once they have done that, then just press the confirm button and then click to ensure that the tweet becomes visible when the user wants it to go public.
There is no clarity as of now when scheduled tweets might come to Twitter on Android or iOS. However, Twitter has announced, via their post that they are “experimenting” with the new feature and they have not announced any official date for its release.
