The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2021, scheduled to be beheld in Shanghai, has a lot in store. While we get closer to the dates, we’ll get to know more about what each brand is planning, but for now, we know that Oppo is going to showcase some new tech at the event and it has to do with fast-charging.
Xiaomi’s much talked about Air Charging is expected to be the talk of the town as far as interactive tech is concerned. Oppo on the other hand is expected to announce more content connected to flash charging.
Oppo has been reading its new tech with the catchphrase – “Everything can be flash charging” and “Fast charging for everyone”. The company is also using the catchphrase “Interconnected life” with the hashtag #OPPOxMWC21 so it remains to be seen how these two concepts come together.
Oppo has been quite the pioneer when it comes to fast charging in the industry. It is the only company that ships a 65W fast charger as a standard along with their devices. Sister companies OnePlus and Realme both benefit from Oppo’s 65W fast charge tech as well.
Whatever Oppo reveals at MWC, you can expect OnePlus and Realme to get it too as a part of being other companies under the parent BBK group.
Reports also have it that Realme is going to launch a smartphone with 125W fast charge support soon. If this is indeed true then it is going to be better than anything Oppo has on offer right now.
For now, we’ll have to wait and watch. The Oppo event at MWC is going to be held on February 23 so we just have a little time to wait for.
