Apple is likely to introduce its 5G-enabled iPhone next year in 2020. Indeed, carriers are furiously jumbling to expand their 5G coverage with each passing month. Apple may introduce more than four iPhones in 2020 and this will also include a model that will support 5G. The 2020 iPhone rumours are gathering pace and for the upcoming smartphones, Apple is now expected to shake-up the display sizes of the handset and the upcoming lineup will now feature a smaller 5.4-inch display as well as a display that’s the largest we have ever seen on an iPhone.
Notably, reports have indicated that Apple will incorporate Qualcomm’s most advanced 5G modem — the X55 — into the entirety of its 2020 iPhone lineup. The chip, which delivers incredible performance, is also said to be more energy-efficient than Qualcomm’s other 5G modems.
Recently, a rumour surfaced claiming that Apple’s iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will both incorporate updated OLED technology which will allow for thinner panels.
