Huami on Tuesday launched the Amazfit BIP S Lite smartwatch in India at ₹3,799 the smartwatch comes in at the budget segment of smartwatches in the country. The newly smartwatch will be available via Flipkart on July 29.
The Amazfit BIP S Lite smartwatch will be available via a flash sale that will begin at 12PM on Flipkart and the Amazfit India Store on July 29. The company will host a second flash sale on Flipkart and Amazfit India store on August 3 starting 12PM. The newly launched smartwatch will be available via open sale on Flipkart and Amazfit.com starting 8 PM on August 5.
The Bip S Lite features a recognisable design from previous smartwatches in the Bip line up. It comes with a square dial, with relatively chunky bezels. The screen here is a 1.28inch color display with a 176×176 pixel resolution. The watch itself is fairly lightweight, coming in at just 30g complete with the strap. Without the strap, Amazfit says the watch weighs just 18g.
It comes with Corning Gorilla 3 tempered glass and an anti-fingerprint coating. The smartwatch is 5 ATM certified, which means that it is waterproof up to 50 meters. For starters, it comes with an always-on display mode. It also has over 150 watch faces. In addition to that Huawei’s newly launched smartwatch comes with a PPG bio-tracking optical heart rate sensor and a 3-axis acceleration sensor and supports 8 different sports modes tracking features, which includes a treadmill, outdoor running, walking, indoor cycling, outdoor cycling, yoga, elliptical trainer and freestyle among others.
In terms of connectivity, the Amazfit BIP S Lite offers Bluetooth 5.0 and Bluetooth BLE. It is compatible with smartphones running on Android 5.0 and above or iOS 10 or above.
Talking about the battery, the newly launched smartwatch claims to offer up to 30 days of battery life. On the standby mode, it can last for up to 90 days. Plus, the watch charges in just around 2.5 hours, which sounds like a reasonable amount of time to not wear the watch once every 30 days.
