So, let’s start with the very special feature WhatsApp Pay — that is expected to be rolled out in India soon. WhatsApp’s payments platform is getting closer to a full rollout in India. The company has gotten RBI’s nod and it is working with NCPI for introducing its payments platform in India.
PIP support for ShareChat videos
WhatsApp is working on adding PIP support for ShareChat videos in its Android and iOS-based apps. Once this feature is rolled out WhatsApp users will be able to watch ShareChat Videos within the app in the picture-in-picture mode as they watch YouTube videos.
WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will enable users to set different wallpapers in different chat windows. It will also enable users to adjust the brightness of the selected wallpaper. This feature is in works for the company’s iOS-based app and it is not available in the app yet.
WhatsApp is inching closer towards launching expiring messages on its platform. The company, as per a report by WABetaInfo, has added information panels that describe how this functionality works before users start using this feature.
Search the Web
WhatsApp has added support for Search the Web feature on Android, iOS and Web. This feature will enable users to check the authenticity of a message or a link by directly searching for it on the internet. However, this feature is available only in Brazil, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, the UK, and the US.
