Google is planning to bring a new feature to Android 10 known as “Bubbles. Which would make it easier for app developers to push more visible notifications directly on top of the user’s display? The thing is, the feature is similar to the chat heads that can be found on Facebook Messenger.
You can drag and place the floating bubble to other parts of the screen, or you can drag it to the bottom to dismiss it just like Facebook’s. The Bubbles system also comes with an option to disable it.
According to a report, the feature didn’t make it to the stable release of Android 10, the bubble notification system is expected to completely replace the overlay API in a future release of Android. It is pertinent to note that this is just an internal test by the tech giant and there is no clarity on when the feature will be released officially for users.
Google has been encouraging developers to implement the new API, it can be speculated that the feature is being prepared for an official Android 11 OS release.
