Google is rolling out a new update for Google Maps to the Android users. This new update let you control over your profile picture and your bio. The latest update also allows users to check how other users see your contributions in Google Maps.
Now the Google Maps Android users will be able to edit their name on their profile. Apart from name and bio, users can now edit their profile phots too. To access the new feature, Google Maps users need to tap on the side menu and spot a new “Your profile” section. The section also gives you access to a “Profile setting.” With the new My profile tab, you have more control over how others see your contributions in Maps,” the report said. Google Maps allow you to hide your contributions on your profile and can opt you out of sharing your profile with the businesses you follow.
This new update to Google Maps comes quickly after Google launched an incognito mode for the app. The feature, as the name implies, allows users to use the app without Google keeping a track of it. The feature also prevents Google from personalising the experience for you. The new update rolled out “server-side” to Maps users. If it isn’t available on your account, it should be available in the coming days. Meantime, you can always download the latest APK iteration of Google Maps.
