Apple’s truly wireless earbuds, dubbed as the Apple AirPods Pro, have received a pretty good response from the customers so far. And now the compnay seems to be working on the ‘Lite’ version of its AirPods Pro earbuds, called the ‘AirPods Pro-Lite’. If the report has to be believed, Apple could soon launch the Apple AirPods Pro Lite.
As per the report, Taiwan-based Universal Scientific Industrial (USI) will be the main supplier of the Apple AirPods Pro Lite. The company is said to be integrating a system-in-package (SiP) chipset with the upcoming AirPods. The Lite variant of the Apple AirPods Pro is rumoured to be arriving sometime around mid-year. It is notably mentioned here, that the source has not explicitly mentioned that the name of the upcoming Apple TWS will be the Apple AirPods Pro Lite and this is just an assumption as of now.
While the details about Apple ‘AirPod Pro-Lite’ are scarce at the moment, the report highlights Apple’s efforts to reduce dependence on China. Following the Coronavirus outbreak, Apple and several other companies are looking at partners in different countries to ensure interrupted shipments.
Nothing can be said for sure though. We are yet to see what Apple has in store for us in the audio product department.
