Apple is likely to launch 5G iPhones in 2020 next year. An earlier report suggested that Apple would unveil three iPhone models in 2020. All of the iPhone may come with 5G technology. A new report has hinted that Apple’s 5G modem might come with Qualcomm 5G modem.
As mentioned before, this is not the first time that we have heard about Apple’s plans of launching its 5G iPhone. Earlier this year, noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Quo also said that Apple will launch three new iPhone models with 5G connectivity next year.
“It will be the first time Apple introduces 5G iPhones. The report by Nikkei also stated that Apple has set an aggressive sales target for its 5G iPhones and that it is planning to ship at least 80 million 5G iPhones next year. The company typically ships 75 – 80 million new iPhones each year.
However, a new report suggested that Apple will ship two of the three iPhone models next year with OLED display. In addition to this, some of the older reports which stated that Apple could completely ditch LCD panels starting its 2020 iPhones.
