Adobe announced to bring real Photoshop app to the iPad this year. A new report suggests the next Adobe CC app for iPad will be Illustrator. It would be ready until 2020, but it would give more of its Creative Cloud software to Apple’s tablet.
However, Photoshop for iPad may not be all that was promised when it finally launches. The Bloomberg reported that betas of Photoshop for iPad are missing some feature and other key functions from the desktop version. Now Apple is all set to bring Illustrator to the iPad. Chief product officer of the company’s Creative Cloud group Adobe’s Scoot Belsky told the publication that Adobe would “expand the capabilities” of Photoshop on iPad over time. Adobe’s aim is twofold. Adobe is on a mission to satisfy the professionals who count on its software for photo-editing and illustration, and to capture casual users. The strategy may boost sales growth for the company’s Creative Cloud unit, which has slowed over the last year.
A spokeswoman for Adobe wouldn’t confirm or deny the rumour, telling Bloomberg that the company had “nothing new to share at this time.”
