Adobe lets its engineers have some fun with experimental projects to be demoed at the company’s Max conference every year. Called ‘Sneaks,’ the experiments often become integrated into Adobe products down the line. Possibly the most interesting Sneak this time around was a feature called ‘About Face’. This new project uses AI to determine manipulation in photos. This AI system can detect how much the photo has been manipulated and also detail which pixels have been developed.
The Adobe Photoshop camera app aims to simplify the way users edit photos and eliminate the need to learn image editing in more powerful, yet complex, an app like Photoshop and Lightroom. This new project About Face lets users scan the photos and shows how there has been said 50% manipulation. It will highlight the areas in the photo where the pixels have been edited. The ‘undo’ tool will automatically bring the photo back to its original form.
The app is currently available as a preview to a select group of users on Android and iOS and it features a variety of different filters from select artists.
